St Peter Port’s High Street is a good demonstration of the new landscape for telcos with flagship stores for Wave (Jersey Telecom), Cable & Wireless and Airtel Vodaphone.

The Office of Utility Regulation regulate the industry following the purchase by Cable & Wireless of the state run Guernsey Telecom company.

Guernsey now has multi-million pound undersea cables that will help maintain the island’s place in the international arena. Broadband has replaced dial up in virtually every Guernsey businesses and at least 80% of homes.
